Sunday 9th November 100th Remembrance Sunday since start of WW 1
Around 12 Scouts, 8 Cubs and 6 Beavers ably assisted by young leaders from Vermin Explorer Unit and other leaders turned out smartly for the parade and service at St Johns Church, Lakenham, Norwich. Bishop Peter Fox led the service and gave an interesting talk on how we remember and showed the new Book of Remembrance for those killed from Lakenham. A parishioner has researched all those on the church memorial and given us a truer picture of the young people who died for all of us. The scouts then placed poppy crosses in memory of 1st Norwich Scouts who died in WW1 & WW2. A truly memorable and moving occasion.
